DMCA Notice & Takedown
Animepx respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid takedown notices. Last updated October 2026.
Important disclaimer
Animepx is an indexing and discovery service. We do not host, upload, store, record, broadcast, or otherwise control any video or audio files. The player on this site loads content from independent third-party embed providers over which we have no control and no ownership. All anime metadata (titles, descriptions, images, episode listings) is sourced from public databases such as AniList, MyAnimeList, and the AniZip mapping project.
Because we store no media, there is nothing on our servers to remove. Any takedown of actual video content must be directed to the third-party host that stores and serves that file. We will, however, act on valid notices by removing the offending link or embed reference from our index as described below.
Filing a copyright takedown notice
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe material referenced through Animepx infringes your copyright, send a written notice to [email protected] that includes all of the following:
- Your full contact information (name, organization, email, and address).
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, episode, and rights-holder details).
- The exact URL(s) on Animepx where the material is referenced, so we can locate it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay our response. Please use the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request" so we can prioritize it.
How we respond
We aim to review valid notices promptly (typically within a few business days). Where a notice is valid and complete, we will remove or disable the relevant link or embed reference from our index. Because the underlying file is hosted elsewhere, we may also direct you to the third-party provider actually storing the content, since only that host can remove the file itself.
Counter-notification
If you believe a reference was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] including:
- Your name, address, email, and physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts and to accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, Animepx will limit access for, or remove references associated with, parties who are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices.
Good-faith notice
Submitting a knowingly false or bad-faith notice (or counter-notice) may expose you to liability under applicable law. If you are unsure whether material is infringing, consult a qualified attorney before filing. This page is provided for informational purposes and is not legal advice.
